01 — Booking & Pricing

How many guests fit on the boats?

Depending on the boat, we host anything from a romantic date for two up to groups of 10 guests. Whether you come as a couple, with your best friends, or fully loaded for a birthday weekend — the boat price stays the same. Fuel, skipper, crew, and preparation costs are exactly the same for us either way.
How long are the tours?

Our tours are designed to feel relaxed, not stressful. The shortest experience is 2 hours, the longest 6 hours. If you're having the time of your life, we can usually extend the tour — but we don't do "half tours". Vienna Vice is not speed dating on water.
How are prices calculated?

Every boat has its own price depending on engine size, boat value, onboard setup, and overall experience. Some boats sip fuel politely. Others drink like a retired rockstar from Miami in 1987.
What is the difference between Day, Sunset, and Night Tours?
+
The route and overall experience stay very similar — but Vienna changes completely depending on the time of day. Day tours are social and relaxed. Sunset tours are pure golden-hour cinema. Night tours turn the Danube into a neon movie set.
Are drinks included?
+
Yes — always. And yes, properly included. That said: we aim for "floating good mood with style", not "last man standing at Oktoberfest".
Which drinks are included?
+
Usually onboard: sparkling wine, beer, wine, soft drinks. And depending on the mood: welcome schnapps, a few vodka shots on the house — especially if your 80s outfit deserves respect.
Is catering available?

Yes. On the larger Atlantis experience, catering and onboard BBQ are included. For the smaller tours, we offer optional Viennese-style snack platters and finger food for €19 per person.
Can we bring our own drinks?

Usually no. We already stock the boats properly, and once everybody starts bringing their own alcohol, things escalate surprisingly fast. Champagne, however, is always cold and available onboard. On the Atlantis experience, welcome champagne is included automatically.

02 — Tour Experience

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point is near the Donaumarina station on the U2 subway line in Vienna's 2nd district. You can arrive easily by subway, or book our pickup service. Pickup within Vienna city limits: €50 for up to 8 guests.
When should we arrive?

5 minutes before departure is completely fine. We're a boat tour company, not an airport.
Can we play our own music?
+
Absolutely. Bad music choices are part of the experience.
Is Bluetooth available?
+
Of course. This is Vienna Vice, not a pirate ship from the 1700s.
Are toilets available onboard?
+
Yes — on all boats except the smallest one. Choose wisely depending on your hydration strategy.
Is smoking allowed?
+
Carefully and respectfully — yes.
Are swimming stops possible?
+
Usually yes, depending on weather and river conditions. We often stop near the Greifenstein riverside area when conditions allow.

03 — Weather & Cancellation

What happens if it rains?

If the weather makes the experience unreasonable or unsafe, you receive a full refund.
What happens during high water or unsafe river conditions?
+
Full refund. The Danube always wins arguments.
Can we cancel for free?
+
Yes — free cancellation up to 14 days before departure.
Can we reschedule?
+
Usually yes. Up to 14 days before: free. Up to 7 days before: 10%. Under 7 days before: 20%. That said: we always try to find fair solutions together.

04 — Guests & Atmosphere

What kind of groups are welcome?

Pretty much everybody. Bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate events, tourists, influencers, romantic sunset dates — all welcome. As long as you fit into a life jacket, respect the boat, respect the river, and don't behave like the final five minutes of a reality TV show, we'll get along just fine.
Are there any groups you do NOT want onboard?

Honestly? Not really. Vienna Vice is built for people who want a good time with good energy.

05 — Age Restrictions

Is there a minimum age?

No. Children under 16 simply need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Are children allowed?
+
Yes.
Are night tours adults-only?
+
No. Kids are welcome there too.

06 — Music & Party Rules

How loud can the music get?
+
Show us what you've got. At this point we're honestly not sure what gives up first: our sound system, or your group.
Are there noise restrictions on the water?
+
On the Danube, things are generally a little more relaxed. Still — we prefer legendary nights over unnecessary problems.

07 — Behavior Onboard

Shoes on or off?
+
Usually off. The boats appreciate it. So do we.
Any important onboard rules?
+
A few simple ones: respect the crew, respect the boat, respect the river, try to keep red wine where it belongs, and maybe avoid political debates after the third vodka shot.

08 — Safety & Liability

Are guests insured?

Yes. All tours are properly insured.
Who pays if something gets damaged?
+
That's why we have insurance — and also why we have a captain. You control the volume knob. We control the steering wheel.
What happens with heavily intoxicated guests?
+
Usually it never gets that far. We prefer "fun but functional".
Can the skipper remove guests or end the tour?
+
Yes. The skipper has full authority onboard and may refuse participation, remove guests, or end the tour early if safety or respectful behavior becomes an issue.
